Your role
As an all-round System Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our clients’ IT infrastructure. You will implement robust solutions, proactively prevent disruptions, and ensure business continuity across our customers’ operations. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining a resilient and secure technology landscape that supports Secamo’s mission of delivering trusted cybersecurity services and managed services to our clients.
What you’ll do
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Windows Server Administration: Manage and support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune, ensuring seamless integration and user support.
- Automate tasks with PowerShell (and optionally Python)
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage backup solutions, conduct regular DR testing, and ensure quick recovery in case of system failures.
- Security Implementation: Apply security best practices to protect systems and data, including patch management, system hardening and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure alignment of systems with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures; provide regular reports on system performance and incidents.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in system administration, particularly with Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365. Knowledge of Linux is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and implementation.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders and document processes effectively.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Fluent in English and Dutch. French is a nice-to-have.
Location: Hybrid (offices in Gent and Antwerp + remote)
