At Secamo, we help organizations build cyber resilience through strategy, controls, and continuous monitoring — across IT, OT, and cloud environments. To support our growth, we’re looking for a motivated professional to join our team.
Your role
As a Senior Cybersecurity Strategy Consultant, you play a pivotal role advising our clients on how to align their security posture with business goals, regulatory requirements, and the evolving threat landscape. You lead strategic cybersecurity engagements, shape frameworks and roadmaps, and partner closely with senior leaders (C-suite, IT leadership, operations, OT, risk) to translate strategy into action. We’re specifically looking for someone who bridges the gap between strategy and execution — a consultant who combines sharp strategic thinking with real hands-on technical depth. Beyond client work, you’ll also play a key role in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues, helping shape the next generation of cybersecurity talent at Secamo.
What you’ll do
- Lead cybersecurity maturity assessments for clients across IT, OT, and Cloud environments — identifying gaps, recommending improvements, and defining prioritized initiatives.
- Design and refine governance, risk & compliance (GRC) frameworks suited to client risk appetite and regulatory context.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure strategy is actionable: translating strategic objectives into measurable control implementations.
- Provide thought leadership and subject-matter expertise: staying current with cyber-threat trends, regulatory developments (e.g. GDPR, NIS2), and emerging best practices.
- Build and oversee cybersecurity metrics, KPIs, and reporting dashboards — enabling transparent communication at executive, managerial, and operational levels.
- Mentor and coach junior consultants in strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and problem solving.
What we are looking for
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity strategy, risk management, security governance, or related consulting roles.
- Broad experience across IT, OT (Operational Technology), and Cloud environments, with a deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory compliance, threat landscape, incident response, and cyber resilience.
- Demonstrated hands-on technical experience (e.g. incident response, forensics, ethical hacking, or other technical cybersecurity analysis).
- Strong consultancy skills and excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English and Dutch.
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments, define priorities, and deliver strategic clarity.
- A natural coach and team builder – you invest in the growth of those around you.
