Your role
As a Senior System Administrator, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our clients’ IT infrastructure. You implement robust solutions, proactively prevent disruptions, and ensure business continuity across our customers’ operations. Your expertise directly contributes to maintaining a resilient and secure technology landscape – supporting Secamo’s mission of delivering trusted cybersecurity and managed services to our clients. Beyond technical delivery, you’ll also help coach and guide junior colleagues, sharing your knowledge and raising the bar across the team.
What you’ll do
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee and maintain clients’ IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Windows Server Administration: Manage and support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Administer Microsoft 365 services — Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive — ensuring seamless integration and user support.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage backup solutions, conduct regular DR testing, and ensure rapid recovery in case of system failures.
- Security Implementation: Apply security best practices to protect systems and data, including patch management, firewall configuration, and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams and departments to align systems with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures; provide regular reports on system performance and incidents.
- Mentoring: Support the growth of junior team members by sharing expertise and best practices.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in system administration, particularly with Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365.
- Strong knowledge of backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and implementation.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective, lasting solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
